About

jo picI am a freelance Interior Designer, and my main aim is to help people realise their ideal homes. I find that people often dream of their perfect interior, but lack the confidence and the time it takes to achieve this – often making costly mistakes in the meantime.

My help can take the stress out of this whole process. I narrow down the possibilities, select the best options suited to your room, style and personal taste, and bring them all to you. We can look at beautiful fabrics and wallpapers, and put together your perfect scheme, all in the comfort of your own home.

I believe that my background in art and design helps me to find the right look for any room. I loved art at school, specialised in textiles at college, and after several years working as a design consultant for ‘Fired Earth’ I decided to undertake a BA(Hons) degree in Textile Design, graduating in 2003.

Since then I have worked as a Textile Designer, and from 2007 I worked as the Design Manager for a textiles company based in Manchester.
In the meantime I completed a NOCN Level 3 in Professional Interior Design, which taught me all the necessary skills for a career in interior design.

Having completed many successful projects for family and friends, I then decided to make interior design my career focus and I began working as a freelance interior designer in 2012.

Due to my experience in textile design my focus is on fabrics, soft furnishings, wallpapers and paints. I am also very happy to suggest ideas for furniture, lighting, flooring and accessories – providing a final sample board and visuals if required. I work as a freelance interior designer, and so I am able to source and suggest products from all areas of the market. I offer a consultation service and as such would not project manage the scheme, although I will be on hand to provide help and guidance until your scheme is complete. I can recommend excellent local professionals and tradespeople should you require their services.

I offer an interior design service in South Manchester, East Cheshire and North Derbyshire – covering areas in and around Didsbury, Stockport, Cheadle, Bramhall, Wilmslow, Altrincham, Hale, Hazel Grove, Poynton, High Lane, Marple, Romiley, Mellor, Disley, Whaley Bridge and New Mills.

I work in collaboration with Harmony Decor in Marple, Cheshire, who provide the very best choice in fabrics, paints and wallpapers from the most design-led companies such as Romo, Harlequin, Villa Nova, Sanderson, Little Greene Paint and Casamance to name a few.
Once I have completed your scheme and we have chosen your products, Harmony can provide a highly professional made to measure and fitting service for all your drapes, blinds and soft furnishings should you require it.
